On this tour from Bogotá, we'll head towards the Zipaguirá Cathedral of Salt. After visiting this famous church, we'll head to Chía, where you'll have a table reserved at the Andrés Carne de Res restaurant for a delicious meal.
Tour Details
We'll collect you at the indicated time from your hotel in Bogotá, and make our way north towards the Zipaquirá Cathedral of Salt, one of the most visited locations in Colombia.
We'll take a guided tour of this special church that was built within a salt mine at 180 metres in depth. During the tour, which'll last around 2 hours, we'll see an impressive altar carved out of salt. We'll also see the sculptures of the Stations of the Cross, which tell the story of the crucifixion of Jesus.
After visiting the Cathedral of Salt, you'll have 40 minutes of free time to buy yourself a souvenir in the shopping area located outside of the cathedral. Next, we'll leave the town of Zipaquirá behind and head towards the Chía, where the famed Andrés Carne de Res restaurant is located.
Here, you'll have a table reserved for you. While you delight in a delicious lunch that will be at your own expense, you'll be able to enjoy a live music show. Merengue, salsa, bachata... Dance to the sound of these Latin songs!
After eating, we'll make our way back to Bogotá. We're expected to arrive back after around 10 hours together.

If you wish, you can book the tour without admission to the Salt Cathedral. In this case, you'll need to purchase the tickets yourself.
