If you'd like to take home a unique souvenir from your trip to Bogota, you'll love our emerald ring workshop! You'll learn how to make a beautiful ring with your own two hands during this unique experience.
At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Gold Museum in Bogotá and walk to a local jewellery shop so you can make your very own Colombian emerald rings.
Before we go to the jewellery shop, we'll make a stop at the Casa de la Moneda. Here, we'll tell you all about the importance of metals during the pre-Hispanic and colonial periods.
When we get to the workshop, we'll begin by discussing the unique characteristics that Colombian emeralds possess. We'll also talk about how, for the locals, emeralds are the most important and precious stone.
Now comes the fun part! You'll start creating your own ring and deciding the shape, stone and design of the jewel you'd like to make. After you've chosen your ring, the instructor will explain the steps you'll need to follow to bring the vision of your Colombian emerald ring to life.
After 3 hours, we'll finish the workshop at the entrance of the jewellery shop. See you next time!
