Day Trip Details
Our excursion begins with a hotel pickup in Bogota, followed by a roughly 90-minute journey to Chicaque Natural Park.
Upon arrival, we'll provide you with essential information about this pristine natural reserve, situated at an elevation exceeding 2,000 meters (6,560 feet) above sea level. Subsequently, you'll have approximately five hours at your leisure to explore the park's remarkable botanical diversity.
As you traverse the park's winding trails, you'll find yourself immersed in lush tropical forests adorned with a variety of plant species, including orchids, mosses, and ferns. Be on the lookout for the diverse bird and insect life, particularly the enchanting hummingbirds, toucans, and butterflies, as this park is home to more than 300 bird species.
During your visit, you'll also have the opportunity to see some of Chicaque's natural marvels, such as the renowned Pico del Águila, one of the park's highest hills.
To conclude the excursion, our vehicle will be awaiting your return, and we'll transport you back to your hotel in Bogota, approximately seven hours after our initial pickup.
