Ride the Sabana sightseeing train to explore Zipaquirá with live music, stunning views, rich history, and local flavors on this unforgettable journey!
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Bogotá to go to the Sabana Station, where our adventure aboard the Sabana sightseeing train will begin. Let's go!
Once at the station, we'll be greeted by a lively group of musicians and train staff, who will welcome us amidst notes of Andean folklore, carranga, and even a serenade. We'll board the train, powered by a steam or diesel locomotive, and begin to travel through the Bogotá savannah while enjoying the lively atmosphere on board.
After approximately 2 hours, we'll arrive in Zipaquirá. Here, you'll have 4 and a half hours of free time to visit the famous Salt Cathedral, an underground jewel built inside a mine. During this time, we'll also take a guided tour of 1 hour and 15 minutes through the historic center of the city, where you can taste typical delicacies such as almojábanas, arepas, or the traditional masato.
Finally, we'll take the train back to Bogota while continuing to enjoy the festive atmosphere on board. Once we arrive at the Sabana Station, we'll take you back to your hotel, where we'll say goodbye after a total of 10 hours of sightseeing.

This tour includes pickup from hotels located in Chapinero, Zona T, La Candelaria, and Parque 93. If you're staying outside these areas, we'll contact you after booking to arrange an alternative meeting point.
