Tequendama Falls Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Bogotá at the scheduled time and take you to the Tequendama waterfall, only 30 kilometres from the city.

Upon arrival, we'll admire this unique postcard-like 157-metre (515-foot) waterfall from the Bogotá River. You'll learn about the cloud forest ecosystem that produces water and the historical context of aboriginal findings. According to Muisca legend, the divinity Bochica created this waterfall with a stroke of his staff to prevent flooding of the savannah of the region—impressive!

Just in front of the tongue of water is the Tequendama Falls Museum, a building of French architecture that was inaugurated in 1923 for the repose of the upper classes. Do you know the dark events of the early 20th century that took place in this enclave? We'll find out! Depending on the day of the visit, we'll either enter the museum or admire it from the outside. In both cases, we'll explain all the details of this Cultural Heritage.

Finally, we'll return to Bogotá to say goodbye at your hotel after 5 hours of sightseeing.
