Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Barichara and we'll head towards Villa Nueva, where we'll begin the Camino Real.
This trail, located in the department of Santander, is a route full of history that will give us beautiful views as we enter the beautiful jungle of the region. The first section of the route lasts approximately 3 hours until we reach the picturesque village of Jordán.
Along the route along this cobblestone road, which dates back to pre-Columbian times, we'll tell you how it was built by the Guanes, a native community that inhabited this area. Once in Jordán, one of the smallest villages in Colombia, we'll refuel with a typical lunch.
After eating, we'll head back on the Camino Real to ascend to the village of Los Santos, a 2-hour stretch that will take us through breathtaking scenery. There, we'll go to the Panachi cable car station, nestled in the Chicamocha National Park.
We'll enjoy a cable car ride of approximately 45 minutes, admiring one of the most spectacular postcards of the country along 6 kilometres (3.7 miles). When we reach the top, we'll visit the highlights of the park, such as its viewpoints or its museum. You'll love it!
To bring this experience to an end, we'll begin the hike back to the departure point in Barichara, where we'll finally say our goodbyes after a total of 12 hours.
