If you're in Barichara, take advantage of your stay and enjoy a unique enclave. The Cascadas de Juan Curi Ecological Park awaits you with its waterfalls and virgin forest. It'll be a Colombian-style adventure!
Description
After picking you up from your hotel in Barichara, we'll embark on a 1.5-hour journey through the picturesque Santander region. Our destination lies within the breathtaking waterfalls of Juan Curi Ecological Park, where an enchanting virgin forest awaits. Are you prepared for an adventure of a lifetime?
We'll start the day with a 1-kilometre (0.6 mile) walk. As we step onto the trail, deep within the heart of the sub-Andean forest, you'll have the chance to see hanging mosses and other indigenous flora, including bromeliads growing on the bark of the trees!
We'll ascend through the native forest and pass by small waterfalls like true explorers. Our next destination will be the great Juan Curi waterfall, which is more than 200 metres (656 feet) high. From this vantage point, you can revel in the awe-inspiring views.
We'll give you an hour of free time at the waterfall so that you can take a dip or simply relax in this natural environment. You'll love it!
The next stop of the tour will be Paramo, one of the most beautiful towns in Santander. Here, we'll visit the Virgen de la Salud sanctuary before heading to San Gil to eat at a traditional restaurant.
The tour will end back in Barichara after 6-7 hours of activity.
