Pereira Excursion + Banana Farm Visit
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Manizales at 8 am and head south to Pereira, the capital of the department of Risaralda.
On the way, we'll stop to admire the pineapple fields located in the surroundings of Pereira. Later we'll have the opportunity to taste one of the most typical dishes of the region, arepa de choclo, a delicious corn tortilla accompanied by a salsa.
Afterward, we'll travel to Pereira, a city filled with the aroma of coffee. In fact, it's the most populated city in the famous Coffee Triangle. We'll stroll through its historic center and visit its most emblematic spots: Plaza Simón Bolívar, with the statue of the independence hero in its center, the Our Lady of Poverty Cathedral and the César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct.
Then, we'll go to the outskirts to visit a banana farm, where we'll learn all the secrets of the cultivation of this tasty fruit. Ever wondered how they get that sweet and creamy pulp? We'll tell you all about it during the tour!
Following the tour of the farm, we'll return to Manizales and drop you off at your hotel around 3 pm.
