Tour Options
When booking, you can choose from 3 different options. All last between 6 and 8 hours and include hotel pickup, round-trip transport, and lunch. Here's what each one includes:
Tour Without Snorkeling
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cartagena or at the assigned meeting point and transfer you by land and sea to Barú Island, home to Playa Tranquila, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Colombian Caribbean.
On arrival, your ticket includes entry to the Club House or a similar beach club. You'll have the rest of the time free to swim in the beautiful turquoise waters, sunbathe, relax, and make use of the facilities.
At lunchtime, you'll enjoy a delicious traditional Caribbean lunch included in the activity. We'll then set off back to Cartagena.
Tour With Snorkeling
If you choose this option, we'll take an interesting tour through the mangroves surrounding Barú Island. Have you ever seen raccoons? You'll have the chance to spot them in their natural habitat!
After this, we'll head to one of the best spots on Playa Tranquila for snorkeling. You'll have free time to swim at your own pace and discover the colorful fish that inhabit these crystal-clear waters.
After the water activities, you can enjoy all the Club House facilities at your leisure and sit down for your Caribbean lunch.
Sunset Tour
This option includes all the same perks as the first option (beach club access and lunch), but pickup takes place in the afternoon so you can enjoy a romantic and unforgettable sunset at Playa Tranquila.
Timetables and Pickup Areas
This activity includes pickup from hotels in the following tourist areas of Cartagena de Indias: Bocagrande, Zona Norte, and El Bosque.
Pickup and return times vary depending on the option:
- Tour without snorkeling: pickup between 8 am and 8:30 am. Return from Barú begins at 3 pm, with estimated arrival in Cartagena between 4 pm and 5 pm.
- Tour with snorkeling: pickup between 8 am and 8:30 am. Return from Barú begins at 3 pm, with estimated arrival in Cartagena between 4 pm and 5 pm.
- Sunset tour: pickup at 2 pm, with estimated return at 8 pm.
