Playa Blanca Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel or your chosen meeting point in Cartagena de Indias and head to the island of Baru, where Playa Blanca is located.
On the way, we'll take a panoramic tour along the coast of Cartagena de Indias, admiring the scenery of the city's bay and visiting the different neighbourhoods along the coastline.
After crossing a bridge opened in 2014, we'll reach the island of Baru. This peninsula is separated from the rest of the region by a wide canal built in the 16th century, which is why locals have always considered it an island.
We'll travel through Baru until we reach Playa Blanca, one of the most beautiful places on the island. You'll then have 4 hours of free time to enjoy a sunny day at the beach. Lie on the golden sand, swim in the Caribbean waters and stroll along the sea - the perfect day!
At midday, we'll enjoy a typical lunch of coconut rice, patacones, salad and fried fish (or chicken) at a local restaurant. You can then you can relax by the sea again or explore Playa Blanca at your leisure for an hour.
Finally, we'll conclude this 7 to 8-hour day trip by returning to the starting point in Cartagena.
