We'll meet at the Parque Principal de Girón, the perfect meeting point to explore this beautiful Colonial town. From here, we'll admire the buildings surrounding the square, with its white facades, wooden balconies, and tile roofs, symbols of the traditional architecture of Santander.
During this free walking tour, we'll stroll around the historic center of Girón, declared a National Monument due to its architectural and cultural value. As we tour the town, we'll share stories about its foundation, its importance in the history of Santander, and the traditions that live on today.
We'll pass emblematic spots like the Capilla de las Nieves, the Capilla de los Dolores, and the Puente Real, icons in Girón's identity. You'll also discover the prized Colonial facades that stand out for their excellent conservation.
Our tour will continue toward the Malecón del Río, one of the liveliest places in the town. Then, we'll go to an establishment dedicated to Santander's coffee, where products made from tropical fruits like juices, desserts, and ice creams are made.
