Tour Details
We’ll meet at Ponta da Calheta, in the south of Porto Santo Island. There, we’ll begin this kayak tour with an introduction covering the basic paddling techniques and safety rules for open-water kayaking. Is everyone ready? Let’s start paddling!
We may follow 2 different routes: one toward Praia do Zimbralinho and another toward Ilhéu da Cal. The guide will choose the route depending on sea and wind conditions.
If we head toward Ilhéu da Cal, we’ll explore an islet formed by limestone deposits. If sea conditions allow, we’ll enter sea caves shaped by the constant action of the waves. These caves feature partially submerged entrances and uneven walls, making the navigation especially exciting.
If we instead make our way toward Praia do Zimbralinho, we’ll paddle to a secluded cove surrounded by cliffs, where we’ll observe wave-cut platforms and caves carved into the rock. This setting, accessible only by sea, allows us to enjoy an almost untouched natural environment.
Finally, we’ll return to the starting point, where we’ll say our goodbyes after a total of 1.5 hours.
