Tour Details
Welcome to the capital of Santorini! At the scheduled time, we’ll begin our free tour of Fira at the Metropolitan Orthodox Cathedral, one of the island’s most revered temples.
After a brief introduction, we’ll set off on a pleasant walk through the cobbled streets of Fira, where we’ll enjoy the typical whitewashed architecture of Santorini. Its iconic white tones contrast with the deep blue of the Aegean Sea, which we’ll admire in all its splendor from several viewpoints.
From these spots, we’ll also enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Santorini caldera, including the viewpoint next to the Fira cable car station, which offers extraordinary views without the need to ride the cabins.
After taking in the views of the sea and the caldera, we’ll continue the tour through Fira’s Catholic quarter, passing by the Church of Saint John the Baptist and the Archaeological Museum.
Our next stop will be the viewpoint next to the Orthodox church of Agios Gerasimos, which offers one of the most photographed landscapes in Santorini. We’ll then head to the Imerovigli viewpoint, one of the favorite spots for Instagrammers thanks to the captivating views it offers over the caldera.
Finally, after a 1.5-hour tour, we’ll conclude this free tour of Fira at Theotokopoulos Square. Once there, we’ll explain where you can independently take a public bus to Oia, a town in the north of the island where one of Santorini’s most beautiful sunsets takes place.
