Snowshoeing & Ice Fishing
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Rovaniemi at the selected time and head to the forests of Lapland. Are you ready to take part in two of the most iconic activities in this region of Finland?
Once we arrive at our destination, we'll begin a snowshoe hike. We'll walk among snow-covered pine and fir trees, discovering white landscapes of unparalleled beauty. The trail will take us to a frozen lake.
When we reach the lake, as well as enjoying the unforgettable landscape of the Arctic Circle, we'll take part in an entertaining ice fishing activity. We'll attend a short class to learn the main techniques of this traditional style of fishing. We'll drill a hole in the ice and cast our lines. Then all we have to do is wait for the fish to bite.
During the fishing activity, the guide will light a bonfire where we can enjoy a delicious barbecue-style snack consisting of Finnish sausages and hot drinks. Perfect for refuelling and warming up!
Afterwards, we'll return to your hotel in Rovaniemi 4 hours later.
