Want to see the northern lights in Rovaniemi? On this Northern Lights VIP tour designed for small groups, you'll visit the forests of Lapland with a clear objective: to spot the colourful flashes of this incredible natural phenomenon.
Tour Details
After picking you up at your hotel in Rovaniemi, we'll head north and, like true hunters, go in search of our prey: the Northern Lights!
Our guide, an expert in the search for the Northern Lights, will begin the evening with a fascinating introduction about this natural wonder—how it's formed, how to read the data that helps predict it, and the plan for the night to maximise our chances of spotting the lights.
While one of the guides stays at base camp monitoring satellite and radar maps, our guide will keep us updated as we drive towards the clearest skies. With hundreds of carefully chosen locations across Lapland, far from light pollution and with open views, we'll always be taken to the very best spots to witness the Northern Lights.
Because it's a natural phenomenon, it's impossible to be sure that we'll be able to observe the Northern Lights. However, we'll do our best to make sure that you'll be able to see them. If not, the opportunity to explore the forests of Lapland at nightfall will also be well worth the effort!
We'll admire the arctic wilderness while waiting for the magical northern lights to appear. When you least expect it, the greenish sparkles will illuminate the night sky—an image that will stay in our minds forever! The guide will be ready to take incredible shots of us under the Northern Lights.
Having seen the lights, we'll be able to stay as long as we like to see if they intensify. When we're ready to go, we'll get back in the vehicle and make our way back to Rovaniemi.
Finally, after a between 6 and 10 hours, we'll drop you back off at your hotel in Rovaniemi.
