At the indicated time, we'll meet next to the Hostal Haizea in Roncesvalles. Once we're all ready, we'll give you the bikes and helmets, we'll give you the instructions to enjoy the route without missing anything and, you'll be able to cycle through the incredible landscapes of the Irati Forest.
With more than 17,000 hectares (42,007 acres), the Irati Forest is a true paradise for nature lovers, as it's a haven of biodiversity, home to deer, wild boar and birds of prey, where you can also see one of the largest beech and fir forests in Europe. On the electric bikes, you can explore the trails and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this area of the Navarrese Pyrenees with little effort.
During the rental time, you'll pass by some of the most important points of the Irati Forest, such as the Irabia reservoir, where the green colours are reflected in the water, leaving an unforgettable sight, or the Aribe bridge. Be sure to take some photos!
You'll also cycle past the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María, an architectural complex where pilgrims on the French route of the Camino de Santiago are first welcomed on their way to Compostela.
To complete the route, you'll be able to admire the Silo of Charlemagne, a place where, according to legend, the knights of this emperor were buried after the Battle of Roncesvalles.
Finally, we'll meet again at the meeting point and the route through the Irati Forest will end 3 hours later.
