Enjoy a day in Colombian paradise with this excursion to Punta Arrecife from Providencia. You'll snorkel in crystal clear waters and try your hand at hand-line fishing.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the floating bar, near the Santa Catalina bridge. There, we'll board a boat and start sailing to visit Punta Arrecife, also known as the lighthouse.
During the crossing, we'll enjoy the beautiful landscapes that characterise the islands that we'll find along the way, such as the Island of Santa Catalina or Morgan's Head, a rock in the middle of the sea whose shape resembles a human head. Do you recognise it? Pay attention! Slowly but surely, we'll approach the coral barrier reef of this natural space. At this point, we'll learn how to fish with hand lines, an artisanal fishing technique with centuries of history.
Fancy a swim? We'll make a stop at the Josti Spot, where you can jump into the water and go snorkelling to see colourful fish, as well as corals. It will be a wonderful experience in the crystalline waters of Punta Arrecife!
However, our day of snorkelling won't end there. We'll continue sailing to the lighthouse, where we'll make the second stop of the day for snorkelling. Sharks, stingrays and mantas await you in this area.
We'll continue our journey in the direction of the island of Providencia. During this route, we'll sail alongside Lover's Bridge and stop at South West Beach, where we'll have a barbecue with the fish we caught.
Finally, we'll return to the departure point and end the trip after 5 hours in total.
