We'll meet at the indicated time in front of Utopía Café. From there, after a brief introduction, we'll head on foot to the Parque de Bombas, a peculiar construction located in the plaza de Las Delicias that has housed a fire station since 1883. Don't forget your camera!
We'll continue to the Ponce City Hall building, adorned by its neoclassical architecture. From important meetings in colonial times to the decisions that have shaped the city today, this building is a must-see. The next stop will be in front of the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, a temple that had its origins in a small chapel in 1670.
Next, we'll head to the Carmen Solá de Pereira Ponce Cultural Centre. There, we'll dive into the art and culture of Ponce through its exhibitions that showcase local talent. We'll return to plaza de Las Delicias, where we'll talk about the times when the Spanish troops of Ponce were distributed through the streets of the town.
Finally, we'll go to the Plaza del Mercado Isabel II, where we'll discover a lively atmosphere that has been central to daily life since 1863. Today, it's a meeting point for the locals of the Quinto neighbourhood.
