On this day trip to the San Agustin Archaeological Park, we'll follow the traces of a lost civilisation in one of the most mysterious places in Colombia.
Description
On the day of the activity, we'll collect you from your hotel in Neiva at the indicated time and make our way to the San Agustin Archaeological Park. Over the course of the journey, which will last about 5 hours, we'll pass through various villages in the department of Huila, such as Campoalegre, Hobo, Gigante, Garzón, or Altamira.
Upon our arrival at the Archaeological Park, we'll take a tour to uncover the secrets of one of the most amazing and enigmatic places in the Colombian Andes. This site houses over 130 pre-Colombian statues, tombs and ceremonial centres created to honour the memory of ancestors.
What's more, we'll visit the Archaeological Museum, where we'll see pieces of pottery and sculptures that revered fertility.
Afterwards, we'll head to a restaurant to recharge with a traditional lunch, before making our way back to Neiva.
We'll return you back to your hotel after 17 hours of exploration.
