Are you looking for a plan that combines animals, mountain landscapes, and the most colorful town in Colombia? On this day trip from Medellín, we’ll enjoy a fun experience at Alto del Chocho farm and explore the zócalos of Guatapé aboard a tuk tuk.
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at the point in Medellín that you select when booking, and from there we’ll begin this day trip. Are you ready for a day surrounded by nature? During a 1.5-hour journey, we’ll enjoy views of streams and typical villages of the Antioquia department.
Our first stop will be at Alto del Chocho farm, where we’ll meet the most special residents of the place: ostriches, llamas, paso fino horses, ponies, and goats. These animals roam freely around the grounds, so you’ll have time to get closer and take some nice souvenir photos. In addition, depending on the day’s schedule at the farm, we’ll attend a regional music show or a paso fino horse exhibition.
After this experience, we’ll continue the route to one of the great icons of Antioquia, the beautiful town of Guatapé. Once there, we’ll take a tuk tuk tour, the most traditional and fun form of transport in the area, to explore its streets decorated with colorful zócalos for 30 minutes.
At midday, we’ll visit Rafa’s house, a member of a local family, where we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious typical Colombian lunch. The perfect finishing touch!
Finally, after 10 hours of adventure, we’ll return to the starting point in Medellín.
