This impressive 11-meter-tall (36-foot) sculpture, dressed in the traditional Colombian poncho and carriel bag, stands out for both its design and its cutting-edge 3D printing technology, making it the largest sculpture of its kind in the world.
The monument was created by artist Jamerson Restrepo as a personal tribute to his father and to all the victims of the most difficult years in Comuna 13. Today, the Christ statue stands as a symbol of resilience, transformation, and hope, and it’s become a must-see spot for understanding the social change this neighborhood has experienced.
