On this tour, you'll visit the Casa Finca La Sierra, an estate in the heart of the La Sierra neighborhood where you'll discover the secrets of Colombian coffee.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time at the San Antonio Station, where we'll hop on board a tram to enjoy a 25-minute ride through the urban landscapes of Medellín. Once we arrive at the Oriente Station, we'll take the cable car, which will provide impressive scenic views of the city from the heights for 15 minutes.
Upon arrival at the Villa Sierra Station, we'll start a hike to discover the daily life of the locals. As you climb up about 290 stairs, we'll share fascinating stories about Medellín.
Finally, we'll reach the Casa Finca La Sierra, where a coffee-growing family will greet us with open arms. Here, you'll learn about this family's origins in the world of coffee as you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in a cozy setting.
After learning about the history of coffee, it'll be time to get to work! You'll be provided with typical clothes from the region, and you'll be taken to the coffee plantation, where you'll participate in the collection of coffee fruits for approximately 1 hour.
Then, we'll return to the estate house to witness the transformation process of coffee, from the harvest to the cup. To wrap up this unique experience in the neighborhood of La Sierra, you'll enjoy another cup of coffee that you made with your own hands.
