Looking for a day full of adventure in Antioquia? Learn how to raft as you go down Samaná River and enjoy a perfect view of the Colombian jungle!
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Medellin, and from there, we'll journey south to San Luis, located in the Antioquia region.
Upon reaching the city's central park, we'll transition to our off–roading vehicle to reach the forest. Once there, we'll take a picturesque hike along a stunning canyon, lasting approximately 40 minutes to an hour.
Our hike will culminate at a picturesque riverside location, where we'll dive into the thrill of rafting on the Samaná River. Outfitted with safety helmets and vests, we'll navigate the exhilarating waters aboard an inflatable raft.
As we descend through these turbulent waters for approximately 3 to 4 hours, we'll cover a distance of 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles). Along this route, be prepared to confront big waves, swirling whirlpools, and thrilling rapids — it promises to be an exhilarating challenge!
Our rafting escapade on the Samaná River will conclude in a tranquil spot where we'll pause to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch featuring sausages and an array of fresh, locally sourced fruits.
We'll return to San Luis by off–roading vehicle after lunch. From there, we'll switch transportation, return to Medellin, and bring our adrenaline-packed day close, dropping you off at your hotel about 9 hours after pickup.
