Embark on an exciting journey through the Amazon with this trip to Puerto Narino, a beautiful town that has maintained its indigenous roots.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the designated time at the pier of Isla Fantasía on the Leticia Malecón. From here, we'll board a boat that will take us up the Amazon River towards beautiful Puerto Nariño, a town steeped in history and tradition.

When we reach our destination, we'll begin to explore this beautiful Colombian municipality with a local guide. Did you know that most of the inhabitants of Puerto Nariño belong to indigenous ethnic groups? We'll discover this and more as we explore the pretty streets, green meadows, and the paths that run alongside the idyllic Loretoyacu River.

During the visit to Puerto Nariño, we'll talk about the customs and traditions of the Ticuna, Cocama, and Yagua ethnic groups, the main inhabitants of this part of the Amazon. As we explore the area, you'll see why this town is known as "Colombia's natural crib."

We then regain our strength with a typical lunch in Puerto Nariño. Afterward, we'll set sail on a canoe down the Loretoyacu River, full of wetlands and recognized worldwide for its great biodiversity. These dark waters are home to crocodiles, piranhas, anacondas, piracucu fish, and river dolphins.

To finish, we'll return to the boat and head back to Leticia. We'll say goodbye back at the starting point and finish the tour.
