On this day trip to Cerro Machín from Ibagué, we'll go up to a viewpoint to enjoy magnificent views of lava domes and you'll get to take a relaxing dip in the La Florida hot springs.
We'll meet in front of the Surtiplaza supermarket on Calle 37 at the designated time, where we'll hop onboard an off-roading vehicle to leave Ibagué behind and take the Vía Cajamarca to Toche.
Along the way, we'll make a stop in the city of Cajamarca to rest and another at the Cuchilla viewpoint. At this spot, we'll tell you about the Cerro Machín Volcano and the River Toche's canyon, whose landscapes will open up before our eyes.
Once we arrive in Toche, we'll recharge with breakfast before heading out to explore the world’s largest wax palm forest. There, we’ll go on a scenic 2-kilometer hike to get a closer look at these towering giants.
After taking in the breathtaking landscape, we’ll make our way to La Florida hot springs, which we'll reach after a 1-kilometer walk through the La Primavera nature reserve.
Once we reach the hot spring baths, we'll refuel with a lunch made up of 3 dishes. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to enjoy these waters with therapeutic properties.
After this relaxing bath, we'll begin our journey back to Ibagué, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 12 hours.
