With your ticket to Villa Cavrois, in the area of Croix, you'll have access to the mansion constructed by the Parisian architect Robert Mallet-Stevens. The villa, located in the centre of the small town of Croix, is a symbol of the innovation and power of the 20th century.
The yellow brick facade stands out against the green grass and the blue pool. The Villa Cavrois follows the design of French palaces, with one main body and two side wings. For this reason, it was named the 20th century Versailles; an example of the success of modern architecture in Europe. As you wander through the corridors you will notice the influences of the renowned Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier, such as the clean lines, the light entering through the numerous windows and the simple colours used.
Don't leave before strolling through the five hectares which make up the gardens. You'll find that the "water mirror", a 72 metre long pond in which you can see a perfect reflection of Villa Cavrois, is a perfect spot to soak up some tranquillity!
