Enjoy an incredible trekking route through the beautiful countryside with this Montecrestese Hiking + Wine Tasting Tour. You'll feel the tranquillity of nature, discover ancient sites and taste the exquisite wine.
At 8:20 am we'll meet at the Collegiate Church of San Vittore. We'll board a bus and leave Cannobio behind to set off for Montecrestese. The journey will take about 1 hour.
Once we reach our destination, we'll start a 3 hour 30 minute trekking route. The walk will allow us to get in touch with the tranquillity of the nature surrounding the village of Montecrestese.
As well as admiring the beautiful Ossola Valley and walking along the banks of the River Toce, we'll see megalithic sites that will transport us to times gone by. We'll reveal what role these ruins played: places of worship, burial grounds, ancient villages.
After taking the hiking route and also contemplating the exteriors of small rural churches, we'll arrive at a wine cellar. It's time to enjoy a wine tasting! The tasting will consist of 3 glasses of local reds and whites, as well as local cheeses, sausages and bread.
Afterwards, we'll return to the bus and finish the activity at 5 pm, arriving at the starting point.
