Do you feel like getting your adrenaline pumping? In this activity from Villavicencio we'll practice tubing in the river Güape, where we'll also visit the cave of the guacharos.
Tubing in the Güape River Canyon
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Villavicencio and drive to the municipality of La Uribe in an off-roading vehicle.
After a journey of about 5 hours, we'll arrive at our destination and put on our helmets and tubing waistcoats. Once equipped with all the material, we'll prepare the floats and we'll go to the embarkation point, which is located in El Limón. There, the instructor will explain some simple safety rules that we'll have to follow during the whole trip.
After this brief talk, we'll start tubing in the canyon of the Güape River. During this activity, which lasts between 5 and 6 hours, we'll have fun sliding down the river with floats and trying to overcome different torrents of white water.
In addition, on this trip we'll visit the cave of the 'guacharos', so called because of the birds that live in the cave. In fact, as we enter the cave we'll perceive how the constant flapping of these birds is the only sound that breaks the silence that reigns in these underground cavities.
We'll conclude the tubing activity in the La Resevera area, where we'll enjoy a delicious picnic that includes a selection of local specialities. After regaining our strength, we'll embark on a 5-hour return journey and end the activity at your hotel in Villavicencio, where we're expected to after a total of 16 hours.
