At the designated time, we'll meet at the Rua Diogo Alves O Caramuru, number 331. Once we're all gathered, we'll meet the instructor and the group. You'll learn about the activity dynamics and prepare for the session at the Praia do Cabedelo, one of the best beaches of Viana do Castelo for surfing.
First, we'll provide a theoretical introduction where we'll explain the structure of the class, the safety rules, and the basics about the marine environment. We'll also cover the technical aspects related to reading the Atlantic Ocean, wave behavior, and the proper use of equipment.
Then, we'll provide the necessary equipment, which includes a surfboard and a neoprene suit. Now that we're ready on the beach, we'll start a warm-up session on the sand, crucial to activate the body and reduce the risk of injury. We'll practice the essential technical skills of surfing, such as getting on the board, maintaining balance, and the take-off maneuver.
Afterward, we'll enter the sea and enjoy a practical session of approximately 1.5 hours. We'll surf in small groups of a maximum of 6 people, a methodology that emphasizes continuous supervision from the instructor, personalized corrections, and a learning path tailored to each student. Finally, after 1 hour and 45 minutes, we'll say our goodbyes and give back the material.
