Pont du Gard Aqueduct Ticket
Your ticket will give you access to one of the main Roman aqueducts found in Southern France. It's only a half hour from both Avignon and Nîmes! You'll be able to visit the monument independently and explore the entire complex around the monument. This includes a museum, a cinema and an open-air exhibition.
Pont du Gard
This Roman aqueduct is one of the best-preserved ancient infrastructures found in Europe. With your skip-the-line ticket, you can walk along the path that runs alongside this great stone monument over the Gardon River.
The Pont du Gard is a unique World Heritage Site constructed in the 1st century AD without cranes, excavators or any other such tools. Used as an aqueduct until the 6th century, the Pont du Gard was a toll road in the Middle Ages and a conventional road from the 18th to the 20th century. In 2000, this ancient bridge was restored to its original state, thus preserving its original appearance.
Pont du Gard Museum
Underneath the Pont du Gard's arches, you'll find the underground museum. This museum houses a fascinating exhibition on the construction of this incredible feat of engineering. The aqueduct was built by a total of 1,000 men and took 5 years to be completed, after which it weighed almost 50,000 tonnes.
The exhibition also has several virtual reconstructions, films and panels that'll help you to understand the importance of engineering and architecture in the Roman Empire.
Memories of the Garrigue
Next to the Pont du Gard, you'll find the open-air exhibition. This exhibition focusses on the history of Mediterranean agriculture and houses some remains of the aqueduct.
Pont du Gard Cinema
In the cinema at the Pont du Gard, you'll be able to watch a documentary about the aqueduct that combines reality and fiction.
Temporary Exhibition: Guerre et Paix - Combas au Pont du Gard
From May 29 to November 1, 2026, the exhibition Guerre et Paix - Combas au Pont du Gard will be on display at the Rive Gauche, in the Temporary Exhibitions hall. Visiting hours are 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.
This exhibition pays tribute to the world of Robert Combas through a selection of works inspired by Antiquity, mythological tales, and great battles. It will feature around 40 works, including a monumental 9-meter (30-foot) canvas dedicated to the Trojan War.

The ticket office closes 30 minutes before the closing time of these venues. We therefore recommend that you arrive at least 50 minutes before closing time.
Access to the Pont du Gard
Please note that if you book this ticket with us, the Pont du Gard car park only accepts vehicles of less than 10 people (cars or minibuses).
If you arrive in a bus with more than 10 people, you won't be allowed to enter the monument car park. In the latter case, we recommend that you contact our customer service department directly.
