Explore an island paradise and its volcanic landscapes with this brilliant hike of São Jorge. You'll discover the unique beauty of the Azores.
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in São Jorge and take you to the Fajã do Ouvidor and Fajã dos Cubres viewpoints to enjoy some fantastic panoramic views of this island of the Azores.
We'll then head to Beira to visit its cheese factory. While you enjoy the delicious product, you'll hear how it has won several awards and has protected status.
After this delicious moment, we'll start a magnificent trek through valleys full of beautiful hydrangeas, heather, and holophytic flora. Also along the way, we'll see the famous fajãs next to the sea: an amazing geographical phenomenon formed by lava flows.
At 12 pm, we'll stop in the middle of nature to enjoy a picnic lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, juice, water, and a delicious traditional sweet treat.
Feeling reenergized, we'll continue the walk to the coast, making another stop at the Fajã do Ouvidor viewpoint, from where we descend to the Simão Dias natural pool. There, you can take a dip in the wonderful emerald waters of the Azores.
Our amazing trek finally comes to an end in São Jorge where we drop you back at your hotel at 4 pm.
