After you've been collected from your hotel in Tunja at the scheduled time, we'll make our way west towards Ricaurte Alto. This province, situated in the department of Boyacá, is famous for its geological heritage and, above all its picturesque towns.
During the journey, we'll traverse a vast semi-desert landscape until we reach our first stop, which'll take place in the town of Sáchica. In this cute town, we'll enjoy Colombian coffee and visit a small Archaeological and Cultural Museum.
Our tour of Ricaurte Alto will then continue on toward the Sutamarchán municipality. Once there, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch that includes a starter, a main course of fish or meat and a drink. After eating, we'll head in the direction of Tinjacá. Did you know this town possesses one of the best climates in Colombia?
The next stop will take place in Ráquira, where we'll see the gigantic Mano del Artesano and the colourful houses around town. After this, we'll head to Villa de Leyva, to stop off in its coquettish Plaza Mayor. We'll also visit the Fossil Museum, where we'll learn all about the famous paleontological heritage in Ricaurte Alto.
From Villa de Leyva you'll be brought back to your hotel in Tunja, 10 hours after you were picked up.
