We'll meet in front of Our Lady of Victoria Church to kick off our private tour of Tetouan. In just 2.5 hours, we'll uncover the charm and beauty of this northern Moroccan city.
First up, we'll visit the Spanish neighborhood, also known as El Ensanche. Here, we'll admire the beautiful architecture that heavily reflects the Spanish influence on the city. We'll stroll through Feddan Park as we immerse ourselves in the bustling atmosphere of daily life among locals. Then, we'll head to the Jewish Quarter to learn about its history and cultural influence in Tetouan.
During our private tour of Tetouan, we'll also stop to indulge in a sampling of queso fresco, or fresh cheese, paired with nuts. Then, we'll visit the old Medina of Tetouan, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Here, we'll stroll along the narrow streets and explore the El Hout zouk, commonly known as the Fish market, where women often sell their handmade products. One could even say it's the perfect place to snag a souvenir!
Before wrapping up our exciting tour, we'll pay a visit to the Kasbah to admire its exterior. This fortress, built in the 15th century, is a significant landmark of the city with a long history behind it. Our last stop? A local tannery, where we'll get to know the details behind the traditional process of tanning leather goods. Plus, we'll enjoy breathtaking city views here too!
