Private Tour of Tangier
At the designated time, we'll meet at the port, where the seabreeze of the Atlantic and the silhouette of the Port Mosque announce the entrance to the old town.
From the historic plaza de Bab El Marsa, which connects the port to the old town, we'll step into the Medina through one of its traditional gates. You'll see the small, lively squares filled with local workshops, restaurants, and riads whose aromas and colors accompany you on your way to the upper part of the city.
Afterward, we'll walk toward the Kasbah, one of the most emblematic sites in Tangier. Here, the large main square and the Bab Al Bahr sea viewpoint offer spectacular views of the Strait, along with walls reminiscent of the old sultan's palace.
After enjoying this monumental space, we'll head toward the heart of the Medina, passing through areas where daily life, popular art, and charming corners like the mosque of the Kasbah or Bab El Assa, one of the most famous ports of the fortress, come together.
Later, we'll see the most iconic settings of bohemian Tangier, such as the famous Café Baba and the former residence of Barbara Hutton, places associated with writers, artists, and travelers who marked the city's cosmopolitan history.
Our tour will continue in the traditional artisanal area until we reach the spice market, a vibrant spot full of colors and fragrances. From here, we'll reach the bustling Grand Socco. After visiting this central market and enjoying a brief stroll around the former Jewish quarter, we'll continue toward one of the busiest streets in the Medina, which leads to the Petit Socco, the more intimate square frequented by locals.
We'll conclude our tour 3 hours later, close to the Grand Mosque of Tangier, in the Terrasse Borj al-Hajoui, ending an experience that combines history, local life, and the most authentic essence of Tangier.
