Join us on a private tour of Tangier, a city strategically positioned between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. We'll discover the city's past and present, visit Cape Spartel and Hercules Cave and even ride a camel! Don't miss it!
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Tangier to kick off our excursion to Cape Espartel and the Caves of Hercules. Let’s get started!
First, we'll make a short visit to Perdicaris Park, a charming green lung of the city, perfect to enjoy nature and take some pictures with panoramic views. We'll then make our way to Cape Spartel. After half an hour's drive, we'll arrive at the famous lighthouse, which, due to its location, offers spectacular views of the point where the waters of the Mediterranean Sea meet those of the Atlantic Ocean. Don't miss out on a souvenir photo!
After enjoying this Moroccan natural wonder, we will get back in the vehicle and head to a beach, where you can enjoy a 30-minute camel ride by the sea. If you prefer not to do the ride, you can select the tour option without the camel ride. In this case, you can use the time to take a peaceful walk along the shore and relax by the ocean.
Our next stop will be the impressive Caves of Hercules, also called "The Map of Africa." You'll soon understand why! The grotto has two openings, and its name comes from an ancient legend: is the Greek hero Heracles familiar to you? It's said that he spent the night in this grotto before carrying out his eleventh labor.
Once we have fully explored the caves, we will set off for Tangier, which will take about 20 minutes. Finally, we will drop you off at your hotel or, if you prefer, in the medina, about three hours later.
Itinerary Order
Please remember that for the afternoon tour, the route will be done in the opposite order, starting with the Caves of Hercules.
