Who hasn't dreamed of snapping that iconic photo holding up the Leaning Tower? On this day trip to Pisa from San Gimignano, we'll take you to one of the most beautiful squares in the world on a journey through the heart of Tuscany.
We'll meet in front of Porta San Giovanni, the emblematic main entrance to San Gimignano. From there, we'll board a bus and set off on a scenic drive through the green landscapes and rolling hills of Tuscany.
Along the way, we'll share fascinating curiosities and anecdotes about the region to get you ready for what's ahead. After approximately 1.5 hours on the road, we'll reach our destination: the city of Pisa.
Once there, we'll head straight to the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have 2 hours of free time to explore this impressive monumental complex at your own pace.
Marvel at the Romanesque and Gothic details of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the majestic Baptistery, and the Camposanto Monumentale. Of course, you'll have plenty of time to admire the iconic Leaning Tower and find the perfect angle for your photos.
If you prefer, you can also wander through the charming surrounding streets, enjoy an Italian coffee on a terrace, or simply soak up the unique atmosphere of this historic site.
After enjoying Pisa, we'll regroup, board the bus, and head back to the starting point, arriving after 6 hours of exploring.
