On this tour, you'll explore the inland region of the Algarve in an all-terrain vehicle. Discover the spectacular landscapes of the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake. An alternative adventure!
Upon reservation, you'll be able to choose between the following tour options. Both begin at 8:30 am and include pickup from your hotel in Sagres.
After being picked up from your hotel, we'll begin this adventure through the inland region of the Algarve. In our 4x4 vehicle, we'll explore the area of the Monchique mountains and Bravura Lake to admire the local flora, fauna as well as some of its most quaint villages.
From Sagres, we'll drive to the surroundings of Bravura Lake. Here you'll enjoy a 15-minute walk along the shoreline to a nearby area where you can take a swim.
After your swim, we'll continue on to Serra de Monchique, making a stop in an abandoned village right in the middle of the mountain. Then, the group will head to another area of the mountains, where you can see a waterfall 60 meters high!
Lastly, we'll drive up to the highest part of the Monchique mountains, where you'll be able to admire amazing views of the Algarve.
The full-day tour includes the above itinerary, as well as a stop in Monchique for lunch at a local restaurant. There, you'll enjoy a delicious meal with products typical of the region.
After you satisfy your appetite, we'll head to town and explore all corners of this quaint village. To complete the day's adventure, we'll go to the ruins of the convent of Monchique, where we'll learn all about the legends and secrets associated with this site. We will finish our tour by marveling at incredible views of the area, thanks to this perfect vantage point.
