If you are visiting Pyhä then do not miss our fantastic Ice Climbing adventure in the Korouoma Canyon. You will ascend through these amazing frozen formations and witness some beautiful unique landscape.
Ice Climbing in Korouoma Canyon
We will pick you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Pyhä before heading to the Posio Nature Reserve, home to Finland's most beautiful ice falls.
After a two-and-a-half-hour journey, we will stop in the Korouoma valley to see rock fractures that date back millions of years. We will walk through the snow to the base of the canyon, where the guide will give a brief presentation and you will put on your equipment.
Strapped to the harness, we will ascend the Korouoma Canyon, scaling the wonderful frozen formations with the ground gradually disappearing into the distance. Finally, we will reach the top, where you will enjoy brilliant views of the stunning white landscapes of Lapland. You will then enjoy a barbeque to regain your strength for the return journey.
Feeling reenergized, we will hike back to the entrance of the reserve and then drive back to Pyhä. We accompany you to your hotel where the activity finishes 11 hours later.
