The 'Surprise City', the 'Theological City'... Pasto has as many names as attractions to discover, you won't miss any of them with this tour!
Pasto Tour
We'll meet at 2 pm in the central Plaza de Nariño, from where we'll start this tour through the most iconic places of Pasto, also called the 'Surprise City', by Colombians. Do you know why it has this nickname? You'll have to come on the tour to find out!
After discovering the history of Pasto in the Plaza de Nariño, we'll start a tour of its churches. The town has no less than 25 churches, which have earned it the name of the 'Theological City of Colombia'.
We'll admire the outside of the cathedral Corazón de Jesús, the church of San Juan and the churches of Cristo Rey and La Merced. Afterwards, we'll learn about the culture of Pasto by visiting the Carnival Museum, where we'll find samples of this local celebration, and the varnishing workshops, a handicraft technique characteristic of the city.
The last part of the tour will be dedicated to discovering the cuisine of Pasto. You'll get the chance to see how traditional paila ice cream is made. We'll also enjoy a tasting of Colombian coffee, guided by an expert barista who'll tell us all about how it's brewed.
We'll finish the tour by returning to the starting point at 6 pm.
