On this wine and oyster tour you'll indulge your taste buds. We'll visit the impressive Étang de Thau lagoon oyster farm and taste fresh oysters followed by a winery tour and tasting.
We'll meet at the Esplanade de l'Europe in Montpellier at 10 am and head south towards the Étang de Thau, a place that specialises in oyster farming.
On arrival at the Étang de Thau, we'll visit an oyster farm. You'll learn about the fascinating way these molluscs are cultivated and how they are harvested. If the oysters don't captivate your tastebuds then the beautiful scenery of this huge Bouzigues lagoon scenery is sure to leave you mesmerized.
To complete the visit to the farm, we'll enjoy a tasting of freshly caught oysters, which you'll love! Then we'll head to a wine estate on the outskirts of Montpellier, ready for a glass of wine to wash the oysters down?
At our next stop we'll explore the cellar and learn about the Languedoc region's wine-making process. Time for the tasting! We'll enjoy a tasting of their range of whites, reds and rosés.
With your palettes satisfied after this tasty wine and oyster tour, we'll return to the starting point in Montpellier and finish the tour at 1:30 pm.
