Let the history and beauty of Milan take you by surprise on this guided tour of the Castello Sforzesco and the Torre Branca, two of the most remarkable monuments in Parco Sempione.
Tour Details
Milan's history goes far beyond its imposing cathedral. At the designated time, we'll meet at the Triennale di Milano and set off on a guided tour of 2 unmissable landmarks in Parco Sempione.
We'll start at the Torre Branca, built in 1930 and widely regarded as Milan's modernist totem. Designed by architect Gio Ponti, this tower stands over 108 meters (354 feet) tall and has a striking structure with glass walls. We'll ride its modern lift to the top in just a minute to take in spectacular panoramic views of the city, the Alps, and the Apennines.
After admiring the view from the observation platform, we'll head back down into Parco Sempione and make our way to the Castello Sforzesco. As we walk toward the fortress, we'll explore the park's leafy paths and uncover a few of its curiosities.
On arrival at the castle, we'll walk through its emblematic outdoor spaces and courtyards: the Piazza d'Armi, the Corte Ducale, and the Cortile della Rocchetta. Along the way, we'll take in the imposing architecture of the fortress while discovering how Milan became one of Europe's most prominent cities and diving into the legends of Italy's most powerful families.
Finally, after 2 hours, we'll say our goodbyes outside the Castello Sforzesco, bringing the tour to a close.
