Amethyst Mine Electric Bike Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Luosto and give you all the equipment you need to do this activity. For the three-hour trip, you'll ride a electric bicycle through the idyllic snowy landscapes.
We'll set off and head to the fascinating Lampivaara amethyst mine, one of Lapland's most iconic landmarks. The stunning location is worth the effort in itself. You'll enjoy unforgettable views from the top of the mountain!
While admiring the spectacular landscapes of Pyhä-Luosto National Park, we'll regain our strength by sipping a tasty hot drink next to a warm fire. Then it's time to leave the electric bikes behind and head into the Lampivaara mine. There we'll discover the most famous gemstone in Lapland: the amethyst. This beautiful, precious stone is a violet-colored type of quartz.
Part of the route through the mine will take us to the excavation area. You'll even have the opportunity to dig for amethysts yourself and take home a precious souvenir of your visit.
Finally, we'll get back on the bikes and return to your hotel.
