Tour Details
On the day of the tour, we'll meet at the Praça do Comércio, one of the most central spots in Lisbon, and where we'll start our private walking tour of Alfama. Did you know that it's the oldest, most traditional, and most picturesque neighborhood in the Portuguese capital?
As this is a private tour, you'll be in charge of designing the itinerary we'll follow. The guide will share and show you all the secrets of this historic corner in Lisbon, filled with tourist attractions and also known as the birthplace of fado.
Along the walking tour, we'll pass by the maze-like network of narrow streets, steep slopes, and facades full of color and life. Of course, we'll see the main monuments in Alfama, such as the Casa dos Bicos, the Casa de José Saramago, the São Jorge Castle, the Lisbon Cathedral, the Largo de São Miguel, and the Roman Theatre.
To enjoy some of the best scenic views of the lower area of Lisbon and the Tagus River, we can't end a tour of Alfama without visiting the viewpoint of Miradouro de Santa Luzia or Miradouro das Portas do Sol.
Finally, after a complete tour lasting between 2.5 and 3 hours, we'll say our goodbyes at a central spot in Lisbon and end the tour.
