If you're in La Spezia, don't miss this boat trip to Vernazza and Monterosso. Plus, you can complete this Cinque Terre tour by visiting Riomaggiore or Porto Venere. You are going to fall in love!
Tour Options
When booking, you can choose between two options. Both start at the Molo Italia pier in La Spezia and include boat transportation and a guide in English, French, and Italian who will accompany you at all times. Below are the specifics of each option:
Vernazza, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Molo Italia pier to leave La Spezia behind and head towards Vernazza, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore. Everyone aboard! Our Cinque Terre excursion is starting!
We'll sail through the waters of the Gulf of Poets, which separates Porto Venere from Palmaria Island, along the Ligurian coast. Once we arrive in Riomaggiore, you can stroll through the historic center, venturing into its colorful narrow streets. Don't miss the chance to visit iconic spots like the castle or the Church of St. John.
At the agreed time, we'll meet back at the boat to sail to Monterosso. Did you know it's the largest village in the Cinque Terre? Upon disembarking, you can get lost in its alleys until you reach the Church of St. John the Baptist, notable for its large white marble rose window. Also, head over to the beach and the Aurora Tower. What connection does it have to pirates? You'll find out!
We'll continue the route through the Ligurian Sea, arriving in Vernazza, also known as the Pearl of the Cinque Terre. This beautiful fishing village grew up around a natural harbor that offers incredible sea views. There, you can do some shopping, explore the town, and, of course, try the delicious local cuisine.
After a total of eight hours of excursion, we'll say goodbye at the starting point in La Spezia.
Schedule: This option is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Vernazza, Monterosso, and Porto Venere
At the scheduled time, we'll leave La Spezia behind to begin this boat excursion to Vernazza, Porto Venere, and Monterosso. In this case, we'll first head along the Gulf of Poets for a 20-minute journey until we reach Porto Venere. Do you know why this fortified town has fascinated thousands of visitors? You'll discover it by walking along its promenade and enjoying the views. Don't miss the medieval complex of the Church of St. Peter, one of the most romantic religious buildings in all of Italy!
After enjoying the beauty of Porto Venere, we'll continue the tour of Monterosso and Vernazza just like in the previous option.
Schedule: This option is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Please Note
Depending on maritime traffic, the order of site visits may vary. For example, Vernazza might be the first stop and Porto Venere the last.
