Pasto Tour
We'll depart at 2 pm from Santander Park in Ipiales in the direction of Pasto, a picturesque Andean municipality in the Colombian department of Nariño.
Upon arrival in the town, considered the theological city of Colombia, we'll take a tour of Pasto to visit its main Catholic churches. The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart or the churches of San Juan and La Merced are the highlights! We'll also visit the Plaza de Nariño, the heart of the historic centre.
The next stop is the Carnival Museum. Here we'll see a large display of costumes and other clothing worn during one of the most eagerly awaited festivities of the 'Pasteños'. We'll then visit a varnish workshop to see how master craftsmen use an ancestral technique that has been declared a Cultural Heritage of Colombia.
After visiting the workshop, we'll go to a local establishment to try some traditional artisan ice cream from Pasto. We'll also enjoy a delicious and hot cup of Nariño coffee to put the finishing touch to this tour.
Finally, from Pasto we'll return to the meeting point in Ipiales, where we'll arrive at 10 pm.
