Tour Details
If you're in Haro, you can't miss a visit to the Bilbaínas Wineries, one of the most outstanding and historic wineries in La Rioja. At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Vinoteca Wine Bar, located in the heart of Haro's Station District.
Once everyone has arrived, we'll enter this winery, which was founded more than 100 years ago by Santiago de Ugarte, making it the oldest bottling winery in La Rioja. In addition, Bilbaínas Wineries boast 3,400 m² (36,597 ft²) of underground cellars. It's the largest winery in Haro and the surrounding area!
During the tour of this century-old winery, we'll explore its roots, traveling back in time while also discovering its present. We'll review the history of the wineries, as well as the unique character of their terroir and the tradition followed in the winemaking process.
After the visit, we'll enjoy a tasting of three wines, including Viña Pomal wines, which come from the oldest vineyard owned by Bilbaínas Wineries. To complete the experience, we'll pair the wines with a cheese board. A true tribute to the land of La Rioja!
Finally, 1.5 hours later, we'll say goodbye and bring this experience to an end.
