Visit the most important corners around the city of flowers accompanied by an exclusive guide for you and your group with this Private Tour of Haarlem.
Private Tour of Haarlem
At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Haarlem train station, famous for being a landmark of Dutch Art Nouveau architecture. From there we'll go on a three hour walking tour through the medieval cobbled streets of the Dutch city.
The first stop on the tour will be a traditional Beguine. Did you know that single women took refuge in these quarters during the war? Another must-see stop is in front of the Adriaan windmill, one of the last remaining windmills in Haarlem.
We'll continue the private tour along the Spaarne river to see some characteristic locations such as the Waag building, one of the oldest in the city and the Frans Hals house.
Our next stop will be the new church, where we'll explain the development of religion throughout the history of the Netherlands. We'll also visit an old church converted into a brewery.
To finish the tour, we'll walk around the Main Square and the Grote Markt, Haarlem's birthplace. Here you'll find the most important buildings in the city: the Town Hall, the Vleeshal, the old meat market, and the Hoofdwacht, the first town hall in the city.
