The Peñol-Guatapé dam is one of the best-known reservoirs in Colombia. This beautiful natural environment, full of hundreds of islets, is one of the main tourist attractions in the Antioquia Department.
At the scheduled time, you'll be given an oar and a kayak at Mall Portobelo, the starting point for this exciting activity. From this point in Guatapé, you'll head to the reservoir located just a few metres away.
You'll row at your own pace in the Guatapé Reservoir and admire the scenery around you. We recommend rowing along the shore and then skirting some of the islets when you've gotten the hang of kayaking.
From your kayak, you'll look out at views of the rolling green hills that surround this area, which is considered one of the most breathtaking in inland Colombia.
Once the rental period has come to an end, you'll need to return your equipment at the meeting point.
Upon your arrival at the meeting point, you'll choose between a single and a double kayak. Please note that the prices shown are per person, not per kayak.
Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult in a single or double kayak.
