We’ll meet at the scheduled time in the heart of the old town of the capital of Liguria, to start this private tour of Genoa.
First, we'll walk around the port of this Italian city, getting to know some curiosities about its history and its important strategic role. Do you know what famous people were born here? We'll reveal it to you!
We'll wander through the narrow and labyrinthine Genoese streets, known as caruggi, encountering beautiful squares like Piazza de Ferrari and Piazza dei Banchi. We'll also taste a typical product of the region to sample the delicious local cuisine.
Of course, a visit to the cathedral of San Lorenzo, whose origins date back to the 11th century, will not be missing from the tour. Did you know that there is a bomb inside it? We'll tell you why!
The private tour will also take us to Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, where we'll admire the facade of the Ducal Palace of Genoa: the former residence of the Doge, now converted into a museum and cultural center.
