At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Brancacci Chapel to begin our guided tour of its interior. Ready to discover one of the frescoes that revolutionised art in Florence?
During the visit, you'll be struck by the dramatic power of The Expulsion from the Garden of Eden, where Masaccio's genius immerses us in the anguish of the first sinners with astonishing realism.
You'll also find yourself mesmerised by the scenes from the life of Saint Peter, where light and shadow model the figures with such mastery that they almost seem to be sculpted on the wall.
But the best part is in the details... Did you know that these frescoes conceal the faces of royal characters of 15th century Florence? Here, you can make out Filippo Brunelleschi, the brilliant architect of the Dome of the Duomo, and even a young Sandro Botticelli, the painter of the famous Birth of Venus.
